The mix of king, queen, and bunk-style beds makes High Life especially easy on families traveling with kids or teens. There's enough flexibility in the room configurations to comfortably mix generations without anyone feeling squeezed in. The king room offers a quieter retreat for grandparents or the adults who turn in early, while the bunk rooms give kids and teens a space that feels like their own. Every bed is made up before you arrive, with pillows, sheets, and light bed covers provided throughout the house, so all you have to pack is yourself.

The half-bath is located by the pool, near the cabana kitchen, so no one has to track water through the house after a swim.

Living Space
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at scale. The Pool
The private pool is the centerpiece of the backyard, a place to cool off between river trips or spend an entire lazy afternoon floating. The rounded pool has a beveled edge, making entry easier for anyone who struggles with steps, with seating built in all the way around. A shallow sun shelf gives the littlest guests a safe place to splash without needing to venture into deeper water, and a gated fence keeps kids from running straight out the back door and into the pool unsupervised. Kids can still figure out a latch, so keep an eye on them, but the fence removes that first, fastest risk. Bring your floaties from home and you're ready to go.
Outdoor Kitchen & Dining
The outdoor kitchen is built to handle real cooking for a crowd, not just grilling. A commercial-grade ice maker keeps drinks cold all day, while the outdoor refrigerator and sink mean you can prep, marinate, and clean up without ever stepping back inside. The wraparound bar seats seven on barstools, making it the natural spot for everyone to gather while dinner comes together. Outlets are on hand for small appliances, ceiling fans keep the air moving on warm afternoons, and outdoor lighting carries the space right into the evening. A lockable flatscreen means you can catch the game poolside without worrying about the elements.
BBQ & Firepit
The BBQ pit feels like a natural extension of the outdoor kitchen, set on its own gravel bed but just one step away from the poured cement patio, so cooking never feels disconnected from the rest of the space. Know before you book
Location and directions
High Life sits inside Heartstone, a gated community in the Texas Hill Country near Concan, offering rural quiet with the added privacy of gated access. The Frio River is just minutes away for tubing, swimming, and fishing, and the surrounding landscape makes for great hiking and birdwatching. Local cafes and convenience stores are a short drive off for anything you need mid-stay, and Garner State Park is about ten minutes away if you're up for exploring further. The Frio Valley Ranch Golf Course is also just a short drive away. At the High Life, there is always something to do.
We will send you directions before you check-in. Please do not rely on your GPS as it is known to be an issue in Concan. If you get lost, give us a ring and we will get you where you need to be.
